The Covid-19 crisis is revealing deepening systemic inequalities and injustices within the global food and agricultural systems, threatening people’s health, livelihoods and food sovereignty. However, social movements, activists and small-scale food producers are advocating for, and building, more just and sustainable food systems.

This webinar builds on discussions organised by AEPF in July as part of our “Food Producers Shall Not Go Hungry” series [Webinar 1, Webinar 2], with academics and activists more deeply exploring the root causes of the food crisis. Join as we discuss how people, from urban workers to small-scale food producers, are coming together to advocate for a just transformation of the food and agricultural systems.

This discussion will be followed by our next webinar in the series, “Fighting for Land Rights: Sharing Struggles and Strategies”, in which we look at active land struggles, with a focus on shared tactics and strategies.
