Since the AEPF’s main constituency comprises the exploited working classes, oppressed peoples and progressive/Left/socialist-oriented mass movements from both Asia and Europe, the central topic of this Panel Discussion will primarily focus on these two vitally important regions of the world. In fact, the Eastern Hemisphere’s immense geographical scope ranges all across the Eurasia-Indo-Pacific’s immense domains—from Western Europe to Eastern Asia. Additionally, the fluid and volatile cross-regional political-security dynamics affecting these regions, especially the external relations among their states and societies, should clearly be of an urgent and strategic concern to all AEPF-linked mass organizations and activists alike. Likewise, any movement or formation—AEPF, or otherwise—that is seriously advancing a systemic-change agenda from within and, for these regions, must always attempt to develop and apply a sharply correct analysis to progressively guide their mass struggles forward.
This Open Space analysed America’s strategy to contain the China-Russia alliance, and its implications to peace and security in Asia and Europe, so that prospects for advancing a systemic-change agenda from within and, for these regions, can be considered seriously.
